Saracen Llama & Alpaca Mix has been formulated to be high in fibre with a low cereal inclusion to reduce the risk of grain overload. The Maintenance Mix offers a lower level of energy (calories) and protein allowing for easy weight maintenance. Saracen Horse Feeds have formulated a specific camelid premix that is included in the Llama and Alpaca Mix. The premix has been formulated to supply optimal levels of key vitamins and minerals but especially elevated levels of Vitamin D to support correct bone development. To support optimal digestive health the premix also includes Acid Buf and a live yeast to help maintain optimal health and pH of Compartment I of the stomach. This in turn supports normal microbial activity diversity and numbers providing an important source of quality protein as well as reducing the risk of acidosis.
